SUMMARY:Rescheduled: Forest Bathing Walk Across Tower View Campus with Annie Hejny
DESCRIPTION:\nBuy Tickets on Eventbrite\n\nBuy Tickets\n\n\n\n\n var exampleCallback = function() {\n console.log('Order complete!');\n };\n\n window.EBWidgets.createWidget({\n widgetType: 'checkout',\n eventId: '299956677497',\n modal: true,\n modalTriggerElementId: 'eventbrite-widget-modal-trigger-299956677497',\n onOrderComplete: exampleCallback\n });\n\nThis event has been rescheduled from July 14 to August 25\nJoin Annie Hejny, former artist-in-residence at the Anderson Center and a Forest Therapy guide from Minneapolis, for a Forest Bathing Walk on Thursday, July 14 Thursday, August 25 from 5:30 p.m. – 8 p.m. The walk will take place across the scenic Tower View campus, including the Sculpture Garden, restored native prairie, and more. Registration is $30 for the general public and $25 for Anderson Center members. Space is limited, advance registration is required. Appropriate for ages 15 and older. The group will meet at the entrance to the Sculpture Garden.\nForest Bathing is the practice of moving slowly in nature and tuning into our senses. It is an opportunity to connect with the natural world and bathe in the benefits that nature offers us, both physically and mentally. During the walk, Annie will guide the participants through a series of invitations that support wellness and nature immersion. Just come as you are\nWhat to Bring: We will be moving very slowly and sometimes not moving at all so dressing in layers is recommended (even warmer than you think). Bring water, mosquito/tick repellent and comfortable clothing that you won’t mind getting dirty or wet if you choose to sit on the ground (or bring something small and portable to sit on). Supportive walking shoes are recommended. No pets please.\nCancellations: Your safety is a priority. We will walk if there is light rain, but not if there is extreme heat or lightning. You will receive an email you 1-2 hours before if we need to cancel due to weather.\nCOVID Protocol: Annie is fully boosted and participants will be able to maintain social-distancing. Wearing a mask outdoors is optional.\nRestrooms: Facilities in the Granary will be open for participants to use.\n\nAnnie Irene Hejny is a voice for the earth. Her lifelong connection with nature has developed into a visual language through abstract paintings and drawings. She has exhibited her artwork in many solo and group exhibitions in galleries such as the Katherine Nash Gallery (Minneapolis, MN), The Phipps Center for the Arts (Hudson, WI) and Form + Content Gallery (Minneapolis, MN). Her largest solo exhibition to-date at the Minnesota Marine Art Museum in 2018 (Winona, MN) received 10,000+ visitors.\nOver the past five years, she has successfully completed over 50 commissioned projects for galleries, private collections, and public institutions, locally and nationwide, including The University of Minnesota Mill City Clinic and Hilton Embassy Suites. Her artwork is in the permanent collections of the Minnesota Vikings Art Collection, Minnesota Marine Art Museum and the Masonic Cancer Center at the University of Minnesota.\nThis event is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a Minnesota State Arts Board Operating Support grant, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.\n\n\n\n\n\n var exampleCallback = function() {\n console.log('Order complete!');\n };\n\n window.EBWidgets.createWidget({\n // Required\n widgetType: 'checkout',\n eventId: '299956677497',\n iframeContainerId: 'eventbrite-widget-container-299956677497',\n\n // Optional\n iframeContainerHeight: 425, // Widget height in pixels.
