DESCRIPTION:Help us clear out invasive buckthorn to make room for native raspberries and wild roses as we celebrate Earth Week! Wear long pants and shirts and bring gloves. Anderson Center Facilities Staff will provide the rest of the equipment. There are two different opportunities to give back: Wednesday, April 19 from 10 a.m. – noon and Thursday, April 20 from 4-6 p.m. With your help in hauling cut buckthorn and affixing Buckthorn Baggies to the stumps, we can clear away this aggressive invasive species and improve the ecosystem locally.\nThis volunteer opportunity is presented in collaboration with the Red Wing YMCA as part of Walking Bingo. Pick up a Bingo card from the YMCA front desk for different ways to keep yourself active in April.
