DESCRIPTION:Celebrate the winter solstice with warming food and meaningful music. Join Anderson Center, Zeitgeist, and guest chefs for Thai food and musical performance on Friday, December 20. We’ll gather in the Tower View Barn to enjoy an appetizer and plated entree by Joe and Holly Hatch-Surisook. Following the prix fixe meal, enjoy a ritual performance in the connected Tower View Barn Space. We’ll end the evening with a special dessert by the Anderson Center Residency Chef.\nTickets include a three-course meal (all gluten-free with vegetarian and chicken options) and concert. Wine, beer, and a specialty cocktail will be available for sale. Together, they ran the beloved Thai Restaurant Sen Yai Sen Lek on Central Avenue in Minneapolis for 14 years (along with sister sandwich shop Dipped &amp; Debris). Eater Twin Cities has described their restaurants as “vibrant, essential spaces for people to gather and eat.” Joe was born in Bangkok and grew up helping his mother cook as part of a vibrant Thai community in Chicago, experiences that continue to influence his cooking today.\nZeitgeist‘s mission is to bring newly created music to life with performances that engage and stimulate.
