Clare Boerigter is a writer, environmental communicator, and former wildland firefighter for the U.S. Forest Service. participating through the University of Minnesota’s Gesell Writing Residency Fellowship. She holds a BA in Spanish from Grinnell College, an MA in International Education from the Universidad de Alcalá in Spain, and an MFA in Creative Nonfiction from the University of Minnesota. At the Anderson Center, Clare conducted extensive research bring All the Feral, Fierce Things, a book-length manuscript about her rookie season as a wildland firefighter for the Forest Service, into deeper conversation with larger cultural and environmental discussions.
