Katherine (Kat) Van Eddy is a poet who participated in a May residency at the Anderson Center through the Pacific Lutheran University’s Rainier Writing Workshop Fellowship. She prepared a presentation on a critical paper she wrote examining how poets balance narrative and lyric time in long poems. Kat also worked towards her thesis manuscript of poems. This collection mainly consists of narrative poems centering on varied relationships of her life: her parents, her children, her divorce. In addition to generating new poems, Kat also devoted time at the Anderson Center to reading from a list suggested to her by a mentor.
