In response to current COVID-19 case counts and the State of Minnesota’s four-week dial back guidance beginning 11/20, the Anderson Center is not able to hold the 2020 Historic House Tours this holiday season. This event was popular last year and the organization looks forward to hosting it again in 2021. All previously purchased home tour tickets have been refunded. Holiday Art Fair

The Art Fair is taking place throughout the Main building; the Exhibition Gallery, the restored Barn, and each hallway. A 5-Piece Potters Invitational in the Potters Gallery also offers many beautiful hand-made pieces for sale.

The Anderson Center is retailing original artwork from artists working across all disciplines, such as paintings, photography, fine jewelry, textile rugs & quilts, hand-thrown ceramics, postcards, sculptures, woodwork, stoneware clay pottery, metalwork, woven baskets, and more.

Participating artists include: Ann Berget, Abbey Blake, Lynn Brown, Brenna Busse, Karen Caldwell, Deb Lee Carson, Max Cora, Christy Dickinson, Mary Ila Duntemann, Kate Fisher, Will Fritsch, Sara Herman, Sandy Hokanson, Lori Hungerholt, David Husom, Art Kenyon, Pamela Kirton, Richard Loer, Mary Logue, Karen McCall, Constance Misener, B-J Norman, Paul Olson, Steve Ozone, Emily H. Phillips, W.P. Rodman, Bonnie Rubinstein, CB Sherlock, Jessica Sievers, Sandra Simon, Leslie Stewart, Tom Virgin, Dan Wiemer, Melinda Wolff, and more!

A timed entry admission system allows a limited number of people into the art fair within each half-hour window. Capacity for each space is being monitored throughout the event. A pedestrian traffic flow route helps ensure physical distancing. Commercial self-cleaning, bi-polar air ionizers have also been installed in all ductwork servicing the Tower View Barn and common areas of the Anderson Center’s Main Building complex.

Timed Admission details:

Advance registration is strongly encouraged. Art Fair guests may arrive any time within their half-hour window. While being mindful of others, guests should feel free to browse and shop as long as they’d like.

Guests can register over the phone for the Holiday Celebration of the Arts by calling 651-388-2009 during business hours. A limited amount of timed admissions may be available for walk-up registration at a separate entrance via the Main Building’s gallery doors.

Additional details:

• To protect staff and visitors, everyone must wear a face covering or face shield to enter interior spaces at the Anderson Center. There are no exceptions to the policy.

• Guests may park in the front paved lot by the water tower. Additional parking is located in the west gravel lot near the sculpture garden.

• Touchless fixtures have been installed in all restrooms in the Main Building.

• Enhanced cleaning of high-touch surfaces takes place throughout the day.

• Always maintain a minimum distance of 6 feet away from people not in your household group.

This event is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a Minnesota State Arts Board Operating Support grant, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
