Complete with over 30 sculpture, an observation deck, walking trails, stunning vistas and more, this spacious open-air gallery serves as an artistic and educational resource, a natural habitat, and a quiet place where one can glimpse a sampling of the region's original native ecosystem.
The Anderson Center annually hosts a variety of artistic, educational and cultural activities, including art celebrations, exhibitions, book fairs, readings, concerts, performances, lectures, classes, retreats, symposia, and other community-minded events. The work of more than 220 artists and writers is exhibited and published each year by the Center, with approximately 6,000 people from the five-state area attending events.
Each year the Center presents the A.P. Anderson Award for Outstanding Contributions to Literature and the Arts in Minnesota.
In addition to providing space for two educational institutions, the Anderson Center provides studio space in its facilities to over 15 year-round artists and creatives, all of whom have received state, regional, and national attention for their work.
