The Anderson Center will be hosting a joint artist reception featuring two exhibitions on Friday, September 2oth, from 6-8 p.m. Artist Receptions are always free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be provided. Featured image shows details of work by Kehayr Brown-Ransaw (left) and Lisa Loudon (right).
About the Exhibitions
Once Removed, on view May 18 – September 21, showcases the works of Alonso Sierralta and Lisa Loudon. Sierralta and Loudon are married artists and educators that make work in conversation with nature. They take inspiration from, collect, manipulate, and reinvent natural materials and forms. Both artists use these foraged elements to create a body of work which is individual in vision, but very collaborative in the way they experience nature and forage together for materials. Once Removed is in Gallery Three.
Family Home, on view August 10 – November 2, features the works of Kehayr Brown-Ransaw, Benjamin Merritt, and Mei Lam So. These three Minneapolis-based artists are part of a new generation of artists incorporating work on fabric into their printmaking and image transfer techniques. Family Home is in Gallery One.
