Support the Anderson Center’s year-round arts programs at the second annual Spring Soiree Croquet Tournament Saturday, May 21 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Tower View. All experience levels are welcome in this casual six-wicket, doubles golf croquet tournament taking place across adventurous courses on the distinctive Tower View lawn. Registration is $40 for an individual or $75 for a team of two. There is no cost to spectate. The top-performing team receives a special gift basket (details tba). Dress to impress in “snappy casual” navy and white as an award & floral arrangement will be given out to the team with the best croquet outfit.

The conclusion of the tournament coincides with the end of the silent art auction at 5:00 p.m. Participants and spectators will have the opportunity in the Tower View Barn to browse the auction, make final bids, and take items home. Proceeds from certain artworks donated by individual artists will be split 50/50 with the artists. All proceeds benefit artists and the community through the Anderson Center’s flagship residency program and new initiatives such as the Red Wing Area Studio Tour, the Public Artist Residency, and workshops & tours that engage with Tower View’s land & history.

All teams are guaranteed two games. Winning teams from two pools will compete in a final four championship bracket. The tournament begins at 1 p.m. with a review of the rules, followed by alternating pool games. The semi-final games begin at 3:45 p.m. and the championship game starts at 4:30 p.m.

The auction goes live at 8:00 a.m. CST on Friday, May 13 and will end at 5:00 p.m. CST on Saturday, May 21 following the croquet tournament.
