
Guided Walking Tour with Mary Dupont
Join author Mary Dupont as she shares history, anecdotes, and memories of the Anderson Family on a guided outdoor walking tour of the Tower View estate. Dupont is the author of Mrs. Ambassador: the Life and Politics of Eugenie Anderson. In addition to extensive research on Eugenie Moore Anderson, Dupont has also researched the history of Eugenie’s sister, Mary Moore Biederman, and their respective husbands: the artists John Anderson and Charles Biederman.
Space is limited! Register now for this one-hour event on Saturday, August 17. Tour groups meet in front of Tower View Barn 15 minutes prior to the beginning of the tour. Tickets are $10 for general public, $5 for students and seniors, and FREE for Anderson Center members.
About the Tour Guide
Mary Dupont is a writer and photographer specializing in midwestern social and family history and photo preservation efforts. She lives in the Twin Cities; she and her husband have three children. Dupont is the author of Mrs. Ambassador The Life and Politics of Eugenie Anderson (2019, Minnesota Historical Society Press). She is also the granddaughter of Eugenie and John Anderson.

The tour guide will be using a personal portable voice amplifier. While steps can be avoided on the tour, the tour may take participants off paved trails and across uneven ground. If the weather is severe or there is heavy rain, the Anderson Center will announce cancellations via e-mail and social media by 5 p.m. the previous day.
