The month was used to begin work on a song cycle, Love Letters to Soldiers. The concept was inspired by touring the Imperial War Museum in London. Sweeney did research in the Museum’s archives and came across a love letter to a soldier and research immediately became more focused on love letters to and from soldiers. The project uses these love letters and create a song cycle, a musical short, that traces through different wars and countries.
