Ahimsa Timoteo Bodhrán is a multimedia artist, activist/organizer, critic, and educator. A Tulsa Artist Fellow and National Endowment for the Arts Fellow, he is author of the poetry/photography collections, Archipiélagos; Antes y después del Bronx: Lenapehoking; and South Bronx Breathing Lessons. Ahimsa ia the co-founder of the world’s first transgender film festival, the San Francisco Transgender Film Festival.
At Anderson, Ahimsa worked on Yerbabuena, his multigenre book-in-progress and multimedia project, that serves as a womanist/queer/trans multiracial decolonial remapping of New York and California, the East and West Coasts, and Atlantic and Pacific worlds — worlds linked to and through the Great Lakes. During his residency Ahimsa offered a reading and discussion with elders at Tinta Wita Tipi.
