Writer Andrea Temkin is attending through a fellowship with the Pacific Lutheran University graduate writing program. After studying memoir and story writing through Stanford University Continuing Studies (CS), Andrea S. Temkin was accepted as an MFA candidate in Creative Writing at Rainier Writers Workshop, Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma WA beginning July 2024. Ms. Temkin’s previous publications include Tiny Love Stories: “Happy Loser”, New York Times, June 15, 2021; “Alice Cunningham Fletcher” in Women Anthropologists: Selected Biographies, ed. Gacs, Kahn, et al, Illini Books, 1988; and as a contributor to The Art IS Education Book Series: Teaching for Understanding, Studio Habits of Mind, Making Learning Visible, Alameda County Office of Education CA, January 2013.

During her residency, Temkin will work on a memoir and will give a reading of her work at Tinta Wita Tipi.
