Elinam Agbo is a Ghanaian American writer, editor, and teacher. She holds an AB from the University of Chicago and an MFA from the Helen Zell Writers’ Program at the University of Michigan. A 2021-2023 Kenyon Review Fellow, she guest edited BLACK ESTRANGEMENT, a special online issue of Kenyon Review, featuring emerging Black writers. Her work, which often explores fraught maternal inheritance and legacies of violence, has appeared and is forthcoming in Transition, Apogee, American Short Fiction, Nimrod, the PEN America Best Debut Short Stories 2018, and elsewhere. She is currently an Assistant Professor at Bucknell University.
