Eva Smith Glynn writes short stories. Her current body of work includes stories about growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area. Her critical work investigates how fiction writers achieve transcendence within the narrative and upon the reader. Eva recently completed her MFA in fiction at Pacific Lutheran University and is participating in the residency program through a fellowship from PLU’s Rainer Writing Workshop.

At Anderson, Eva worked on her collection of short stories about the Bay Area and beginning work on a new collection of fictional stories about Hungarian immigrants in the US from the interwar period through the 1960s. During her residency, Eva is lead an ekphrastic workshop in the Anderson Center galleries and sculpture garden with Tower View Alternative High School students.
