Hassaan Mirza

Hassaan Mirza is a writer from Lahore, Pakistan. He received his MFA from Vanderbilt University and is currently a doctoral candidate in Creative Writing at the University of Cincinnati. His work has appeared in Ploughshares, Kismet, Joyland, Michigan Quarterly Review, Academy of American Poets, and Salamander Magazine, which awarded him first place in their fiction contest. Based on his work, Hassaan has received scholarships, fellowships, and residencies from Wallace Stegner Fellowship, Sewanee Writers Conference, New York State Summer Writers Program, Willapa Bay AiR, Norton Island Residency, and Hinge Arts. He is at work on a novel and a story collection.
