Kohana Wilson is an animation artist living in Brooklyn, NY. They are currently in preproduction for their debut independent feature film titled Skywriter: a hand drawn film set in a far flung Arctic hospital. They were awarded artist residencies with Yaddo, The Sitka Center and Peaked Hill Trust in 2025 for development of the film. Their Academy Award long-listed film edith and the tall child won Slamdance’s Grand Jury Prize for Animated Shorts, and has been screened internationally. They direct and animate a variety of commissioned projects, including music videos for the likes of Florist, Coldplay and The Backseat Lovers.
