Kyung Hee “Kate” Im is a sculptor and installation artist whose artwork highlights aspects of physical isolation and how isolation has been exaggerated. Her artworks depict the ways people maintain remote relationships, staying connected with digital communication tools and complex networking systems.  Her artwork has been exhibited nationally and internationally including South Korea, Georgia, Texas, and California.

While at the Anderson Center, Kate created sculptures that challenge the relationship between humans and nature through research, outdoor installations, and exploration of natural materials such as trees, branches, leaves, and threads. Kate opened up her workspace in the North Studios to the public, offering demonstrations and an artist talk during the Red Wing Area Studio Tour.
