Olivia Fantini

Olivia Fantini’s writing lives in the space between inner and outer experiences, where perception strikes and sparks against reality. As a writer based in Minnesota, she tries to capture the dissonance between the external presentation and the internal truth. A recent graduate of the University of Minnesota’s Creative Writing MFA program, Olivia is participating in the Anderson Center’s residency program as a UMN Gesell Writing Fellow.

At Anderson, Olivia worked on revising her novel DISLOCATED, which follows a lesbian couple’s struggle to create a family. During her residency, Olivia engaged Red Wing area women in a reading / listening session around pregnancy and birth stories.
