Rebecca Kilroy

Kilroy’s fiction offers speculative interventions on historical narratives which open up new avenues of language for articulating systems of oppression in the past. She has previously written a historical fantasy novel which imagines an anti-colonial zombie apocalypse during Ireland’s 19th century Great Hunger. Her current project is based in an alternate 1870s America where magic is commonplace but tightly controlled by the strictures of capitalist society.
