Jolliffe’s music draws on a huge range of styles and influences, and he is equally at home writing for film/TV and the concert hall. Recently his main focus has been choral music. He is keen to write music that is accessible and challenging in equal measure and has written for professional ensembles and youth/community/amateur groups as well as educational music. His choral music is published by OUP, Stainer and Bell and Banks Music. Commissions include the ABRSM grade syllabus, the Royal Academy of Music (Bicentenary Commission), The London Chinese Children’s Ensemble, Odense Percussion and The London Gay Men’s Chorus.

In addition to working on a follow-up album to solo piano album Stilhed during this residency, Jolliffe shared his presentation Film Music: What is it good for? A look at a history of film music from past to present and take place at Hastings Arts Center.
