Zeina Hashem Beck is a Lebanese poet and author of “O” (Penguin Books, 2022), named a Best Book of the Year by Literary Hub and The New York Public Library. Currently based in Northern California, Zeina’s writing covers a variety of topics: home, estrangement, language, the body, love, motherhood, and faith, among others. Her poetry often exists at the intersection of the personal & the political, the divine & the profane.
During her Anderson Center residency, Zeina worked on writing, outlining, and conducting research for a memoir about making and remaking homes, as she’s moved between Lebanon, Dubai, and California. On July 12, she is offered a reading and poetry workshop to elders at Tinta Wita Tipi Senior Living in Welch, MN.
